We are also known as Leader Ravakka or just Ravakka.

Following the programme; strategy

The association works as a developer in the agricultural area working towards rural development strategies to further the Finnish mainland's rural development programme strategy. The programme is funded by the EU, state and municipalities. 

Funding is primarily granted to those projects that effectively contribute to the local development goals. If necessary, we direct applicants towards other sources of funding if the project does not fit within the Loisto-strategy.

The Loisto objectives can also be carried out with the help of more than one source of funding. 2014 was the last year of the implementation of ' Kolmen Ajan Rannikko' strategy. The Loisto-strategy was launched in the beginning of 2015.

Cooperation between the board and staff

Ravakka is an association. Following the law, two official meetings are held each year. The board is elected during the Autumn meeting and is made up of:

  • 1/3 residents within the area
  • 1/3 representatives of the administrative division of the area
  • 1/3 representatives of the organization

The practical work within the organization is done by the personnel under the authority of the director. The board has a significant role in the employment of staff.


Our members consist of individuals, various organizations and communities. The current number of members is nearly 200. Anyone with an interest in the development of rural areas can become a member.
